New Market is lined with more antique shops than any other town in the
state of Maryland. Convenient shopping (such as the New Market Shopping
Center on Rt. 144) and dining is close to The Orchard, and regional shopping malls,
major retailers and more dining

Business and Employment
Only ten minutes from the city of Frederick, The Orchard is also less
than a half hour from the I-270 employment corridor in
Montgomery County and the major
Baltimore County employment centers.
Recreation
More than 80 percent of Frederick County's land is undeveloped, so outdoor
activities abound near The Orchard. Nearby Cunningham Falls State
Park, the Monocacy River, and the Cotoctin and Appalachian mountains offer
hiking, camping, skiing and other outdoor recreational opportunities.
The Baltimore Orioles minor league affiliate, the Frederick
Keys, plays at the new Harry Grove Stadium in Frederick. An indoor
skating rink and several championship golf courses offer year-round recreation.
